
Transport for London Student Oyster Photocard, with the support of the National Union of Students (NUS) and London Metropolitan University; offer students the opportunity to spend less on travel in and around London. The Student Oyster Photocard entitles the holder to buy student rate Bus Passes and Travelcards valid for 7 Days, one month or longer periods of up to one year. Student will get 30 per cent off the adult rate. Single, daily and 3-Day tickets and Oyster single fares are not available at student rate.
However, money can be added to the Student Oyster Photocard to pay adult rate Oyster single fares, which are cheaper than paying cash single fares. Once the discount concession has expired, the Oyster Photocard can be used to buy and use adult-rate season tickets and to pay as you go.
In order to apply for the Student Oyster Photocard you must be: 18 years of age or over; and Studying at a university, college or school in the London area, which is participating in our scheme.And either: A full-time student enrolled on a full-time course, consisting of 15 or more tuition led and/or structured learning hours a week over a period of at least 14 weeks;A PhD student within your writing up period; or A Sabbatical Officer;

If you cease to be so enrolled, then the Student Oyster Photocard ceases to be valid and you must return it to Transport Trading Ltd at Student Photocard, PO Box 5326, Northampton, NN1 5FJ, no later than 7 days after you cease to be enrolled. Continued use of the Student Oyster Photocard in contravention of this clause may lead to prosecution for fraud.
