NUS Cards

NUS has gone the extra mile this year to make sure students are able to get the most out of student life. We have put together a range of exclusive discounts, offers and competitions designed to make student life more exciting, more memorable and more rewarding. Use it to make your money go further on books, clothes, sports stuff, CDs, travel, computer gear, gigs, eating out.

NUS Extra incorporates the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) which means that NUS Extra can now be used both at home and abroad. The ISIC gives you access to over 35,000 discounts in some 116 countries worldwide, including great savings and total travel flexibility on international flights.

Not bad for just ten pounds!

  The old NUS Card is now known as the Democracy Card, which can be used as proof of your student status. The Democracy Card is free but it is not a discount card.

How to apply

For the NUS Extra

You have to apply by clicking here http://www.nusextra.co.uk or visiting one of our Students' Union Issuing Centres. You will need to have a digital photo and the application costs ten pounds which would need to be paid for by debit or credit card. The NUS Extra is available to all students. Students may have to wait a few weeks before receiving their card in the post or be notified for collection from our offices.

For the Democracy Card

You will have to apply at one of our Students' Union Issuing Centres. You will need to have a printed photo with you and the card is made while you wait. The Democracy Card is free and available to all students.
