Every month, we will be highlighting the great work of some of our volunteers.
This month, we talked to Mim Hossain about her experience as a student volunteer at LMSU.

Hi, nice to e-meet you, I am Mim, your Part-time Women Liberation Officer and a third-year Criminology and Policing student!

It is an honour to have been chosen for this month's volunteer spotlight.

This academic year has been a journey filled with laughter and stress for me (a few more months until graduation and I will be free). As a Liberation Officer, I represent my liberation group, through change, creation and my voice. This role gives me the opportunity to lead and plan events, acquaint myself with different people and build my teamwork skills.

As joyful as it sounds, a lot of work goes into making a plan that was once on paper, become a tangible reality. However, fear not, LMSU consists of capable and supportive staff members who will be happy to help you!

If you are looking into being next year's Women's Officer, then I ensure you that plenty of training will be provided to you and the SU's doors shall always be open for you to step inside and chat with your team of Full-Time and Part-Time Officers.

I strongly encourage you to consider applying for any roles that are available in the SU: you will not regret meeting people and using the facilities available to you.

Last but not least, I hope you are looking forward to this year's Women's Week!
