Supporting students for a life-changing experience
The TECH Innovation and Human Well-being Society at London Metropolitan University is made up of students who care about technology and human nature. Membership is open to all London Met students and alumni.
The society attends many outside university events in London’s tech city. We help students find funding for start-up projects, host tech talks from interesting innovators and run an annual Tech Innovation and Human Well-being competition.
We strive to maintain a network of people who have/will go on to do great things with tech innovation and make an impact in multiple industries. We aim to bridge the gap between students’ ambitions and potential careers, connecting them to those in the industry and to each other. We hold talks across a range of industries, alongside career and alumni events in the fields of technology, sustainability and community development.
Many society members work on their own start-ups. A recent one, called ‘Future Start Technology’ was founded by London Met student Byron Levin. Future Start Technology is a fin-tech start up that provides financial services investment software for UK wealth managers via robo-advisor solutions.
Ultimately we aim to provide a community for naturally curious, passionate and creative individuals who are willing to make a positive impact innovating ethical technologies for the future. Find out more and join us!
