London Met’s Holloway Road Campus is in the heart of North London - minutes away from the Emirates Stadium, diverse food options, and green spaces to relax after a long day of studying. Home to our Tower Building and graduate school, Holloway is the largest campus at London Met.

• The Met Cafe - The brand-new communal space perfect for a working lunch, group work sesh, or change of scenery! Catch us there from time to time, as well as student groups, fun university activations, and more. 

• The Sports Centre - Home of the gym, sports teams, and Holloway’s Welcome Week, this is likely your first introduction to our campuses!

Local Eats & Treats (On a Student Budget)

Holloway Road is a goldmine of incredible food that won’t deplete your student loan. Here are the spots you’ll practically live at:

• Roll Papa Sushi: Situated right opposite the university. It is the ultimate spot for incredibly fresh, reasonably priced sushi and Korean dishes.

• MOMA’s Healthy Food: Also just opposite the Rocket entrance. If you want a quick, hot wrap or a massive, nutritious meal box for under a fiver, this is a massive winner amongst students and staff alike.

• Zia Lucia: Craving proper pizza? This place is famous for its slow-fermented doughs (they even do a charcoal base) and offers a great sit-down vibe that feels fancy but stays budget-friendly.

The Best Pubs

Need a post-lecture pint or a place to argue about a group project? You are spoilt for choice:

• The Victoria Tavern: Practically on the university's doorstep! It’s a massive student hotspot, highly popular for its incredible £3 / £6 / £9 student deal (where you can grab a pint, a fresh pizza, or both on a budget). It is also loaded with interactive darts, pool, and live sports on massive screens.

• The Horatia: The closest pub to campus and a total local favourite. It’s got a brilliant, laid-back atmosphere, a great selection of craft beers, and hosts amazing food pop-ups.

• The Owl and Hitchhiker: Just a short walk up the road. It is wonderfully quirky, serves great pub food, and features a brilliant weekly quiz night.

Green Spaces

When the library gets a bit too much, and you need some fresh air:

Highbury Fields: Just a 10-minute stroll away. It’s the largest green space in Islington, complete with tennis courts, plenty of grass to lounge on when the London sun actually decides to shine, and plenty of spots to grab a takeaway coffee.
