Welcome to the Start A Student Group page - this is the first step in building your community here at London Met and gain unique skills to take forward into your careers! Here's some key informaiton to get you started:
Any current student at London Met can start a Student Group. To start, you need to tell us:
- Who your committee members are (you must have at least three - the President, Treasurer, and Secretary and they all must be current students)
- What are your 3 aims, goals, and visions for the Student Group
- What are your planned activities for your Student Group?
- Ensure your aims do not copy any existing group
Once we have received your application, you will meet with the Student Communities Coordinator to approve your Student Group. If approved, you’ll have full access to booking rooms on campus, holding speaker talks, bidding for funding, and be backed up with training and tailored development advice from London Met Students’ Union staff.
Becoming a Student Group Leader isn’t just a great way to make friends and share your interests, it helps you grow and develop as a person; giving you the opportunity and voice to make an impact in a way that suits you.
But don’t take our word for it, here’s what our Leaders have to say:
