Two questions will be voted upon at the meeting:

1. Students' Union Governance
The Students’ Union’s Executive Committee is proposing to completely revamp our entire governance structure.  Our current articles and bye-laws are long and unnecessarily complicated.  These proposals will make the Students’ Union less bureaucratic, easier to shape and friendlier to you our members.

Do you support the Students’ Union changing its Articles and Bye-Laws as proposed?
 

2. Reassessment Cap
Currently, when students fail an assessment component and they have missed the mitigating circumstances deadline, they are required to re-sit the failed component but are capped at 40%.  In a recent referendum the majority of students voted for the SU to lobby the University to increase the reassessment cap from 40% to a range of 55-60%

Do you agree that the SU should lobby the University for this option?

 

 


Annual Members Meetings (AMM) 2022

The Union holds an Annual Members Meeting (AMM) every year. In this meeting, amongst other things, the Union's financial accounts are received, and any policy is voted upon. Any member of the Union may attend the AMM, and vote upon any policy within that meeting. Members will also get an opportunity to speak for or against a policy that is up for vote.

When is the 2022 Annual Members Meetings (AMM)?

The AMM in will be held on Thursday 31st March 4.00-6.00pm location TBC. Details of motions deadline and policy panel will also appear here. 


Would you like the Union to campaign on an issue? 

Any student can submit a motion which will then be voted on by the student body at our AMM. To submit your motion, please email Eddie Rowley, our Student Voice Coordinator at e.rowley@londonmet.ac.uk.

The AMM is only open to members of the Union (all students).
 

Can't make the meeting?

If you can't make the meeting but still wish to have your say then you may appoint a 'proxy.' This is another student who is going to attend the meeting who you nominate to vote on your behalf, or to be your 'proxy'. If you wish to nominate a 'proxy' please email Eddie on e.rowley@londonmet.ac.uk
