The Student Communities Committee is responsible for embedding student representation into the delivery of our service to students at London Met. It seeks to engage students in decision-making processes in Student Communities that affect Student Groups. The Committee consists of four elected representatives, 3 Student Group Leaders from any Student Group, and one from a Verve Media Student Group. The committee also consists of the VP of Activities and Opportunities, who is the chair of this committee with decision-making rights within the committee. The Committee has three key areas of responsibility: 1. Approving funding applications from Student Groups 2. Ensuring the Student Communities are student-led and supported 3. Undertaking ad-hoc business when required for key events Our aim is to ensure Student Communities are shaped by students, and students have the opportunity to use their experience of our service to shape it.
