Hi everyone!

My name is Alice/Al, I use they/them pronouns and I am a 3rd-year Translation student. I identify as a nonbinary queer person and I have been part of the team of the LGBTQ+ Society since my first year at university.

Being able to be the treasurer first, and then president of the LGBTQ+ Society has taught me how to help queer students in our university, providing them with the necessary connections and knowledge to help them out.

Moreover, I have worked with the university to make it a more inclusive and safe space for all LGBTQ+ people, working hand-to-hand with Stonewall UK, the LGBTQ+ Staff Network and the Center for Equality and Inclusion.

For the next academic year, I would love to continue the work started and this position would allow me to keep helping students that need it and make the university a safer, more accessible and more inclusive place.
