What are the Leaders Elections?
The Students' Union a democratic organisation, and each year we elect a number of students to lead the organisation. Becoming a Student Leader is a fantastic opportunity which is open to all students. You don't need any previous experience, but you do need to be passionate, hardworking, willing to learn and passionate about working with and serving London Met University and London Met Students' Union (LMSU)!
The Leaders Election takes place in early March 2023. Applications will open in late January. Election Candidates are given loads of training, support and some funding to help maker you campaign fun and exciting. Just like in other elections that happen in the UK and around the world, each student gets a vote. Students vote (usually over a period of 3-4 days) and the candidates with the most votes take up their new roles ready of the forthcoming academic year, i.e. Summer 2023. Some roles are paid and some are voluntary. Some you do alongside your studies and some you take a year our of study for (or do it the year after graduation).
