Introduction:

Stand for the position “VP Education Officer”.

MA student in translation.

Event & Welfare Officer of MUN.

Representative from ‘Interest Groups’ of Student Activities Committee.

Story of Education & Me:

Not only have I had the experience of managing a society, but I have been keen on meeting new friends with multicultural backgrounds and listening to different voices.

Joined the UN Youth project;

International volunteer in Southeast Asia, taught local students English;

Worked for the EU members, know well about EU and UK education.

From my previous experience, I have demonstrated my great passion for representing students, which is related to what VP Education Officer is pursuing, to ensure all students at London Met receive the highest quality standard of teaching and learning, so here I am!

What I Will Achieve for YOU:

Priority I:

• Education Resolutions: Based on my previous experience as a student leader and my expertise, I will keep contributing to the delivery of equality and freedom of speech, whilst implementing other policies that avoid bullying, sexual harassment, racism, and homophobia to keep a diverse, kind, creative and inclusive environment for all students at London Met.

Priority II:

• Varieties of Class Form: To ensure all courses offer a range of options for students to have classes, not just in classrooms or online, but in various venues, e.g., museums, galleries, concerts, workshops. This has been applied to a few courses but I hope to ensure it would be successfully applied to most courses. Through different class forms, students can find what they have been taught from theories in person and learn it by heart.

Priority III:

• Education Advisor during Holidays: I have seen many students struggle with deadlines during holidays, which happens every year. Therefore, I plan to improve services during holidays to ensure students can get good care, not just academic, but mental and physical aspects. We will also use social media and various tools to ensure students can get help ASAP. Moreover, to develop and provide FREE 24*7 online academic service and overall assistance for students to access anytime and anywhere. It would be very helpful for studies and life in the following semesters.

Priority IV:

• Timetable: To improve the system and process of setting timetables. This year I have found many students complain about the process, and many of them received timetables either late or inaccurately. As I know, many students do not use timetable, instead, they just wait for timetables from their tutors/ course leaders. To promote its advantage so that students make the best of it, and let students know how to use it efficiently and effectively.
