The Students' Union Elections ran from the 1st - 4th March and were a great success with great efforts put in by all candidates on their campaigns and manifestos. We are very proud and pleased with all those who took part in helping with the elections and wish the best of success to our future SU elected winners!
On the 4th of March at 5pm, we announced the winners of our Election 2022/23.
Election winners
Full-time Officers
President - Denise Morrison was elected in the fifth round with a total of 261 votes.
VP Education - Tammika Chambers was elected in the first round with a total of 301 votes.
VP Equity and Welfare- Kerrie Draghi was elected in the third round with a total of 237 votes.
VP Activities and Opportunities - Bianca Jurcut was elected in the first round with a total of 299 votes.
Part-time Officers
LGBTQ+ Students Officer -Jose Antonio Moreira Pereira was elected in the first round with a total of 42 votes.
BAME Students Officer -Nancy Barney was elected in the first round with a total of 163 votes.
Disabled Students Officer - Alina Focsa was elected in the first round with a total of 57 votes.
Women's Officer - Margarita Damai was elected in the first round with a total of 231 votes.
NUS Conference delegates
Denise Morrison and Margarita Damai were both elected in the fourth round.
Student Council members
In the first round, Margarita Damai, Gaia Cardone, Michal Larysz and Lucy Li were elected . In the third round, Nicholas Detain was elected.
