This month, we spoke to Deniz Erdogan about how he gets involved through volunteering at LMSU!

Hi everyone.

I am Deniz, passionate about Science and Art. I study Medical Bioscience at our University, besides still trying to do my freelance Art, Sound Design/Music production work.

Before I continue further, I want to thank the Student Union for their support for me being able to share my story here.

I am an International, I was born in Turkey with the Turkish and Greek background combination. I am proud of who I am, where I was born, what I am, my background and my diversity. And I am proud of being a London Metropolitan University – Medical Bioscience student.

Diversity is a very wide, deep and important subject to me. Since my childhood, I have always been the one who brings and gathers people from all different cultures, backgrounds and diversities.

The world is more dynamic and beautiful with diversity. As I love bringing people together, I want to keep doing that at our University and decided to adopt the International Students Society as the president. I am also one of the Committee members of the Student Activities Committee and the Secretary of the Model UN.

I have been working on planning many different events to bring all the people together at our university through our Society and with the collaboration of the Student Union & other Student Groups at our University.

I do like our University as it has one of the most diverse universities in London. And that is also indeed a great chance to meet, socialize and collaborate with many people from different backgrounds.

I'd like all of you to join the International Students Society because;

We are the Students,

We are the People,

The Cultures, the Societies,

We are all the Nations,

We are the proud "Internationals"
