Hey! My name is Precious Agho, I am a third year Media, Communications and Journalism student, the head of our student radio station and a very passionate campaigner against FGM. 

I believe I am the right person for this position because I am easy going, hard working, enjoy a good laugh and have the tenacity to fight for change. As a mature student, who runs our verve radio station, I really enjoy talking to different people and making a positive impact on students’ wellbeing. Anybody who knows me, knows that I live up to my name. I AM PRECIOUS. With integrity, my slogan for this campaign is YOUR VISION MY MISSION. This is because I am a go getter and I make things happen. 

If elected, I would be committed to engaging with all students across both campuses on a regular basis through organising forums; which would give students the opportunity to make their voices heard and to improve their University experience. A vote for me would also mean working towards: 

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING SUPPORT

It can be difficult to know where to go for help regarding mental health. Currently, it’s not easy for students to navigate which support systems are available and there can be long waiting times for the counselling service. I would compile an easy-to-use directory of wellbeing support services that students can use to find internal and external support that suits them and also look to half the waiting time that students have to wait.

ALGATE CAMPUS - CASS / STUDENT UNION

• I pledge that I will personally work with every student that has any issue at Aldgate bridging the gap between students and staff in order for better engagement.

• Helping courses collaborate and building a community. (Both online and on campus).

• Lobby for a bigger SU for students.

• Host various inclusive events to further promote and achieve SU presence.

HOLLOWAY CAMPUS / STUDENT UNION

• I pledge that I will personally work with every student that has any issue especially when it comes to booking venues (No clashes).

• Lobby for an online mentor programme between previous students and current attendees.

• Lobby for hand sanitisers in the library.
