Hi my name is Godwin Akinyemi, 1st year  social work student.  I'm approachable, confident, energetic and friendly. I already  have a wealth of experince as i have worked and being  part of school of professions, student council and events officer for Afro- carribean society. i feel i would be a good addition to the part - time officer for School of professions.. i would give  students a platform for their opinions and voices to be heard at student union and management level. 

I am passionate about being involved in the decision making process which will help improve students academic results while at the same making sure that they have the best possible student experience available. I feel it very important that students should have they say in the direction university is taken. This can be done be increasing student particapation and awareness of what student what through doing dropping sessions, suggestion boxes, email surveys and face to face contact, on issues such as lectures, food, childcare, accomodation, student financial support, mental health issues and disalibities services. 

I believe in equality as London MET is a diverse  culture environment, differences should not separate us but help to brings us all together, through events, meetings and talks where we can disscuss or celebrate the importance of being one family.
