As the academic year comes to an end, Margarita, your Full-Time Officer for GSBL & Human Sciences, reflects on her time working at London Met Students' Union.
My lovely students,
It’s me again, Margarita, your full-time officer for GSBL and Human Sciences. It is sad to believe that this is my final month as a full-time officer at LMSU!. It was my greatest pleasure to have served as your officer this academic year.
It has been such a long year, filled with excitement and challenges, laughter and tear, but most importantly, I was able to spend one year surrounded by lovely people (like you) every day- each day was a new story, a new lesson for me to learn.
I want to say thank you to all of you who supported and believed in me. Thank you for motivating me, for putting a smile on my face, and for giving me the courage to keep going. Because of you, I was able to develop myself and find the courage to test my limits.
I hope that I was able to fulfil my role and that I was able to help you. I am grateful for embarking on this journey. It is now the time to open a new chapter in my life- that of a first year student, and your new Women Officer.
If you see me around, come and say hi- Don’t be shy!
As the last word (for the moment lol) I would like to say that, “no matter how life might turn, no matter how difficult things might be” never, ever, ever give up! You’ve got this and we’ve got you.
My life motto is “A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins”. As such I would like to remind you to keep it up, have patience and passion for what you do, and success will follow you! You are the greatest project that you will ever work on, so take your time and create that “magic”. I believe in you, I believe in me!
I'm excited for what the future has in store. Bye for Now.
See you again in September.
