Evidence

If you are unable to submit an assignment or attend an exam due to mitigating circumstances and you would like to submit a mitigating circumstances extension request, your claim should be supported by relevant independent evidence. 

 

Examples of acceptable evidence include:

  • Letter from your GP/ counsellor

  • Letter from a solicitor, summons to attend court; report from a police officer (crime numbers alone are not accepted by the University)

  • Letter from a University tutor supporting your claim

  • Corroboration/ statement from a University counsellor

  • Death certificate

  • Confirmation from a transport official of unavoidable, unforeseen and severe disruption to transport.
